What is ShadeCALC?
ShadeCALC is an exclusive software package written for the sole use of ABGAL customers. Used in conjunction with Excel 2003, installers enter point-to-point measurements, then let ShadeCALC generate an aerial view of the sail - automatically highlighting any measuring errors.
How to measure for ShadeCALC?
Shades sails are custom-made and therefore the fixing points need to be measured exactly to ensure the correct fit. Using a steel tape measure, measure the distance from the fixing points and include all the diagonals from each of these points. Add to this the distance from level of all points so that a 3D design of your sail can be created.
With ShadeCALC you can...
- load the software onto your laptop and check your measurements on-site
- view your project
- calculate the catenary (theoretical curve) between fixing points
- see the shade area that will be covered once the fixing method has
been selected - alter the curve offset depth to allow for more or less coverage
- then fax or email your requirements directly to ABGAL when you have finished
