Inground Pool Liners
What is the best finish for an inground pool?
For a durable, low maintenance and attractive finish for any inground pool, a vinyl liner is the smart choice. Specially treated to resist bacteria, vinyl is the easiest style of pool finish to keep clean. Thicker than 15 layers of paint, and beautifully smooth to touch, there are many reasons to use a vinyl liner in a pool instead of paint, fibreglass, tiles or pebble. ABGAL inground pool liners are made with a specialist material called Aqualux - a high quality, UV treated vinyl, especially formulated for the harsh Australian climate. Recently, some cheap imitations have come into the Australian market - a few have even duplicated our patterns, making it very hard for pool owners to tell the difference. Make sure your pool builder is using Aqualux - don't settle for an inferior product.
What are the benefits of an ABGAL pool liner over others?
- Liners are tailored using genuine Aqualux material.
- Australia's largest range of colours & patterns.
- High quality pigments mean colours stay brighter, for longer.
- Wider panels mean less seams.
- Treated to resist algae - no need for scrubbing.
- Smart Seam joins leave no folds inside the pool for dirt to get trapped in.
- Made in Australia, by a family owned company.
- Peace of mind with a 10 year pro-rata warranty.
- Custom made to measure, for a perfect fit.
Can I install my own pool liner?
While some people might be able to install their own liner, there are a lot of reasons why they shouldn't! For a high quality result, a liner should always be fitted by a pool builder who is experienced in using vinyl liners. They will supply us with precise measurements, which we use to custom make a liner to fit your pool shell perfectly. A specialist liner fixing extrusion is used to secure the liner around tile borders, steps, skimmer mouths and other pool fixtures. Once in position, the liner is vacuum-sealed to form a smooth skin, and is then ready to be filled with water.
A typical installation will be complete within 48 hours once the pool is prepared and the liner is ready.
Renovate cracked or leaking pools with a liner.
Long periods of either dry or wet weather conditions bring ground movement which can cause many pool surfaces to crack. An ABGAL vinyl inground pool liner is a fast, cost-effective solution to repetitive, costly repairs and is suitable for all pool finishes.
A vinyl pool liner is also a fantastic way to revitalise an older, tired looking pool. An 80's pebble pool can be completely transformed into an inviting, brilliant blue resort style oasis in a very short time frame, and without breaking the bank!
The Aqualux colour range.
This season's range offers a choice of 15 colours and patterns. Your installer will have material swatches you can look at, and even sit inside your pool. If you are looking at photographs, bear in mind that the same colour or print can appear quite different depending on lighting and surrounds, so always consider your own pool environment when making a selection.

Can a liner be used in a Commercial Pool?
ABGAL liners are a popular choice for commercial pools, particularly when it comes to renovations. They are particularly good for school pools, as their silky smooth surface means no swim grazes on soft skin.
Because all liners are custom made to order, there are no restrictions on size or shape - we can produce a liner for an olympic sized pool if you want it! Deep ends, wet decks and rope anchor points can all be accommodated, plus you can have a logo or lane markings built in to the liner too!
